NorduGrid Collaboration and the KnowARC project (www.knowarc.eu) organize an intensive desing week with the purpose of brainstorming over the future development of the Advanced Resource Connector middleware. The meeting aims to bring together all the research groups interested in ARC development and deliver an updated and synchronised ARC roadmap incorporating all the input of different developer groups working on ARC middleware. The KnowARC development plans will also be presented and elaborated.

Program:

The first day Plenary Session to be held on Monday is planned for the presentations of the development plans of ARC-involved research groups. The purpose of this session is to collect input and feedback from the ARC community. The rest of the design week will continue as a Design Camp, a four-day-long intensive design retreat with moderated technical discussions about development and design plans for different ARC components, interfaces and functionalities. The Design Camp takes place in a beautiful countryside location, the historic town of Sárospatak situated in the Tokaj region ( short video from the Unesco World Heritage site).

Developers and research groups currently involved in ARC-related activities (e.g. master and PhD students, university research groups, grid projects) or interested in forming the future of ARC are kindly invited to post and/or present their plans on the Plenary Session and to join the Design Camp.
